Crosshair Overlay Rust
This script seems enticing, and it set me to thinking about where something like this might come in useful. And of course, as you point out, one can change the ch.gif as one pleases. Thus it can be modified to overlay things besides crosshairs. Good work, evilc!
Note that there seems to be something that needs correction. An 'AltSubmit' seems to be omitted. The line Gui, Add, Picture, w%chx% h%chy%, ch.gifshould be Gui, Add, Picture, w%chx% h%chy% AltSubmit, ch.gifin order to get the transparency effect. I think it would be useful to have some way to switch the crosshairs on and off, but it's easy to modify this script and add a hotkey to provide that. And I'll probably also modify the speed of moving the crosshairs.

Tutorial on how to get a Crosshair [RUST] Sick. A screen shot the crosshair wont be there. The crosshair is a screen overlay. Been looking at the problems associated with the 3rd and 4th inventory slots being non-responsive due to the crosshair overlay. The eagle 2011 soundtrack. * fix for latest Rust Update. Oct 27, 2015 Page 1 of 2 - Crosshair overlay - posted in Scripts and Functions: This will add a crosshair over a selected windowSee start.

The script is easy to read and modify. What does the altsumbit do? It works perfectly for me as-is Hmmm, curious. When I tried the script, I had some problems at first. It wasn't until I added the AltSubmit that I got the crosshairs gif to be transparent.
Until then, I had a crosshairs on a opaque square that moved around on top of the larger window. Authotkey documentation says: Specifying the word AltSubmit in Options tells the program to use Microsoft's GDIPlus.dll to load the image, which might result in a different appearance for GIF, BMP, and icon images. For example, it would load an ICO/GIF that has a transparent background as a transparent bitmap, which allows the BackgroundTrans option to take effect.
If GDIPlus is not available (see next paragraph), AltSubmit is ignored and the image is loaded using the normal method.
Rust Crosshairs
. QUOTE=MrPancake;42966469Cause the game originaly does not have a crosshair option. For those who get it with the help of other programs/materials are playing unfairly and have an advantage over others. This can be easily ralated to using wallhacks and aimbot and whatever cheat there is./QUOTE but it's actually not cheating?
You are't changing the game one bit. Simply putting a reference point over your screen so that you have a point of contact to aim from. If it's not allowed and ill get banned for it, i guess people will just use collective dust that was already there for the reference point, or just put a clear piece of scotch tape and add a small dot or draw a crosshair on it. Fact of the matter is that the bow should get a cross-hair or a dot when drawn back like every other weapon in the game, and you shouldn't be able to shoot from the hip very accurately without alot of recoil.
QUOTE=ecco0;42965722Yes you would, this questions has been asked alot in the past, also on the official Steam forums. The rules is: When get a advantage over other players, using Third party software it is against the rules and you will be VAC banned.
Alot of Third party software require you to place them in the game install folder, problem with this is steam often checks the files to see if anything is added or altered./QUOTE what about buying a monitor with it built in, which nothing can detect, why should these people have an advantage because they spend a bit more cash over the rest? Shouldn't be bannable tbh as some people can use it without punishment.
Ok.So crosshair Software is bannable cause the Player has an Advantage to others. And take a Tape on the Screen or a point or else is no Advantage? When i use a software to create an Crosshair on the Screen or i put a lil tape on the Center, there is no difference for me.
Crosshair Overlay Autohotkey
And as some say here,a lot of Monitor has an integrated Crosshair. So now every Player should tell which monitor they have? Also the most player has many Experience on Shooter Games. They dont need an Crosshair. But for Noobs i see no problem for that. Sorry for my bad English.
