Autemo falls into the – also called “chopping” – category, which indicates the 2D modification of car pictures using raster graphics editing software such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Modifications such as aerodynamic bodykits, wheels and carbon-fiber body panels are super-imposed and integrated on a stock image to increase its aesthetic appeal. Artworks include both realistic and pictures and more visionary images, where choppers and virtual tuners can experiment with extreme modifications that could not be easily produced in real life.
